Danny joined IDE in 1963; he stayed until 1986, rising to Marketing VP via R&D and marketing roles. One key achievement there was project managing the development of secondary refrigerant freeze desalination, though studies eventually proved commercial plants would not be competitive with IDE's MVC and MED units.
In 1987, Danny was a founder (with Nathan Berkman and Amnon Zfati) of ADAN Technical & Economic Services, where he is a director and Principal Consultant. The consultancy works over a range of projects, from assessing potential of new technology to preparing tenders, particularly for the Israeli government. Danny has also written a comprehensive Hebrew desalination textbook.
